$gartastic: Wow! It’s finally here and it sure does feel good to be back in the double digits. Whats different between these first 100 days and the previous project’s has to be work. When I did my previous Sketch a Day project I was still in school. Although I do not think that my workload has significantly increased since I became employed, I do not think I have the same flexibility with my hours. To put it simply, much more of my day is caught up with work and other responsibilities, where it would be inappropriate to simply drop whatever I was doing to relax and draw. (And besides I’m too embarrassed to draw in public,) I think this time commitment has really been a detriment to the project this time around. It is harder for me to jump back into art mode after a full days of work than it was for me to go in after a day of school. Additionally the long breaks that I take whenever I have to travel don’t help out either. In terms of drawing I also feel like I am slipping as well. This is mostly because I don’t spend as much time practicing or drawing as a used. One interesting development is that I have been more garish and bold with my color choices. I was really trying to go for a painterly pastel soft style at the end of the last project. I guess subconsciously I want more excitement. My mind is swimming with more ideas than ever as well. We’ll see if I can execute even a small fraction of those in the coming 100 days. As always thank you so much for all of your support. I am glad that you guys are along for the ride as well. Here’s to the next 100 days.$
